Darren Sanders Bio

Darren Sanders has been performing original Stand-Up Comedy since 1992, both in Australia and the USA at comedy, sporting and corporate venues. In May 2001 he opened The Laugh Garage Comedy Club in Sydney.

He has appeared numerous times on national TV in Australia (rove [live], Spin, In Melbourne Tonight) and can be heard throughout the country on the Austereo Radio Network.

Darren toured the USA in March 1998 where he performed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, The Improv in Irvine and featured in Chicago and Idaho comedy venues. His Melbourne International Comedy Festival show in 2000 ‘The Good Sport, The Bad Sport and The Ugly Sport’ was also a major success. Special guests Darren interviewed included Rachael Sporn (Basketball), Gary Sweet (Actor), Kathryn Harby (Netball), Sam Greco (Kickboxer), Rene Kink, Brian Taylor, Brett Burton (AFL).

Darren's training started in Adelaide at La Mama Theatre, continuing on at The Theatre of Arts in Los Angeles, Majoring in Performing Arts and Speech. He also attended the 1999 Summer School at NIDA. His "You'll Die Laughing" CD sold 500 copies in just 3 years and went zinc!
